CUSTOM ORDERS

All my functional pieces are food-safe, microwave-safe, and dishwasher-safe. My pieces are also oven-safe as long as the pieces do not go from one temperature extreme to another (e.g. from freezer straight to oven).

I use six standard glaze colors (yellow, pink, white | amber, green, turquoise | light blue, grey, turquoise grey). For sets, I’d recommend sticking with 1-3 colors total to keep the set more cohesive. It is always preferable to make your color choices in person (e.g at a gallery near you). Here’s list of galleries where you can see my work and\or purchase pieces online.  Please note that the color on your screen versus what is really on the pot can vary a bit.

In addition, my glazes naturally vary from one firing to the next–sometimes the colors are more faded, sometimes they are slightly more saturated, etc. This has to do with three factors: how thick\thin I brush on the white slip, how thick the glaze is applied and how hot the kiln is fired. Depending on these factors, colors may be a bit more matte or a bit glossier in areas as well as varying hints of the red clay showing through. Most customers enjoy this variation as part of the handmade charm of work.

I make the pieces using a bisque mold so the shape\size will be quite close. That being said, there may be a slight variation between the pieces (again, customers are usually okay with this as it is in keeping with the rugged, handmade nature of the work itself).

For larger custom orders, I typical require a 50% down payment and my turn-around time is 2-3 months. When I complete the order, I will pack and ship the work to your address and provide you with a tracking number.  The customer pays for shipping and I prefer payment be made via Paypal.
